Mending

Written by me: June 3, 2016

A heart in a million pieces,
aching ever so,
Fragily sat beating
Not knowing which way to go.

It’s world had been shattered
Unraveling in the wind
It was left there waiting
just waiting to mend.

There was no hope for it to know
no repairs in sight
Til it caught a glimpse
a glimpse of you that night.

It will always be tattered
a little broken at the seams
but it’s slowly finding that light
that light that makes it gleam.
